Exhibitions

Teresa Cook presents a collection of exhibitions that explore the intersection of architecture and atmosphere through watercolor. Each show highlights her attention to detail, mastery of light, and ability to render structures with both precision and warmth. Drawing on years of practice as an architectural watercolor artist in Jacksonville, Florida, Cook’s exhibitions range from intimate portrayals of local landmarks to broader studies of historic façades and everyday vernacular buildings.

Her work invites viewers to consider the stories embedded in built environments—how weather, time, and human presence leave subtle marks on brick, stucco, and timber. Compositions balance technical accuracy with loose, expressive washes, allowing architectural form to coexist with the fluid qualities of watercolor. Exhibitions often include studies, plein air pieces, and studio works that together reveal Cook’s process: careful observation, thoughtful composition, and economical yet evocative brushwork.

In addition to finished paintings, many exhibitions incorporate educational elements that reflect Cook’s role as an instructor to adults and children. Sketchbooks, demonstration pieces, and short descriptions of techniques help demystify watercolor practice.
